coriolis mass flow meter price FAQ

I have visited the customer, and have another application also to measure Glucose flow.  The product is very Viscous when cold (4300-6000 cP @ 20 degC) hence needs to be heated to pump it. Hence the flowmeter will need to be heat traced to about 60 degC or the product will solidify in the tubes between batches.

Questions:

1/ Can you offer a heated tube version of coriolis mass flow meter?

2/ Do any of the Mass flow meters (e.g “bent type”??) have straight measuring tube/s?

3/ Could Oval gear meter be used as an alternative (when heated to above 50 degC viscosity will be less than 1000 cP) ?

4/ What is the main difference for oval gear meter “SP” option “for food industry” Please explain-
-Can this have Tri-clover flanges?
-What is different inside?

Flow rate is yet to be determined, however for now due to high viscosity would expect DN25mm pipe. Batch sizes would be approximately 48 kg each to be delivered in 1-2 minutes hence  approximate flowrate would be 3 tonne/hr through a 25mm flowmeter.

So, if possible please quote:

For Glucose flow meter:

A/ For 1 x heated DN25 Mass flowmeter with Tri-clover process connections. Pressure would be <10 barg, (specs otherwise the same as quoted)

For Glucose, as an alternative to mass flowmeter please quote:

B/ Heated Oval gear meters
Option 1:  LC-C type DN25mm, 316 Stainless steel, BELZ-1 type register (DC power with display and pulse output) Flanged or Triclover preferred
-please quote “SP” for food industry type, heated

Option 2:  LC-C type DN40mm, 316 Stainless steel, BELZ-1 type register (DC power with display and pulse output) Flanged or Triclover preferred
-please quote “SP” for food industry type, heated

For sucrose, as a low cost option please quote for LC-C type oval gear meter for food:

A/ LC-C type DN25mm, 316 Stainless steel, BELZ-1 type register (DC power with display and pulse output) Flanged or Triclover preferred
-please quote “SP” for food industry type

I hope this is clear,

I look forward to your reply,

John

Thanks ,

Questions:

1/ Can you offer a heated tube version of mass flow meter?
yes ,see attachments for flow meters with heat jacket.

2/ Do any of the Mass flow meters (e.g “bent type”??) have straight measuring tube/s?
no ,all is U shape tube.

3/ Could Oval gear meter be used as an alternative (when heated to above 50 degC viscosity will be less than 1000 cP) ?
yes, it can , but you should ensure the viscosity is less than 1000 cp when entering into the flow meter.

4/ What is the main difference for oval gear meter “SP” option “for food industry” Please explain-
SP is normally means the material should be stainless steel.
-Can this have Tri-clover flanges?  yes, more expensive and longer delivery time.
-What is different inside?   not different, mainly meant the material should be stainless steel.

SH-CMF-25-P1-H1-T1-O1O2-C1-E1-A1-B1-P1-M1-PC2 (with heat jacket) ,Unit Price: USD

Option 1:  LC-C type DN25mm, 316 Stainless steel, BELZ-1 type register (DC power with display and pulse output) Flanged or Triclover preferred
-please quote “SP” for food industry type, heated
LC-U-NSP-C-25.2/BELZ-1,unit price  USD 1560  (flow range 0.3-3m³/h )
It is flange connection , if you need tri-clamp,more USD needed.

Option 2:  LC-C type DN40mm, 316 Stainless steel, BELZ-1 type register (DC power with display and pulse output) Flanged or Triclover preferred
-please quote “SP” for food industry type, heated
LC-U-NSP-C-40.2/BELZ-1,unit price USD  (flow range 0.7-7.5m³/h)
It is flange connection , if you need tri-clamp,more USD 100 needed.

For sucrose, as a low cost option please quote for LC-C type oval gear meter for food:

A/ LC-C type DN25mm, 316 Stainless steel, BELZ-1 type register (DC power with display and pulse output) Flanged or Triclover preferred
